Joe Romano II is an author, illustrator, and storyteller from Ohio who loves creating imaginative worlds filled with adventure, humor, mystery, and heart. His stories are inspired by classic fantasy adventures, childhood imagination, hours of doodling and the idea that even the most unlikely heroes can find where they belong.

Through Design 489 Studios Joe is building the Land of Ohrm, a growing universe of books, creatures, hidden portals and misadventures for readers of all ages to explore.

When he’s not doodling you can find Joe with his family somewhere in the outdoors or coaching on a field.
